Archies Footwear Gift Card Terms of Service

Effective Date: 05/03/2026

These Terms of Service (Terms) govern the purchase, use, and redemption of Archies Footwear digital gift cards (Gift Cards) issued for use in Australia.

By purchasing or using a Gift Card, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not purchase or use a Gift Card.

These Terms are subject to, and do not limit or exclude, any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law, or any other applicable law that cannot be limited or excluded.

1. Definition of Gift Card

Gift Card
A digital Gift Card is a prepaid stored-value card that can only be redeemed through the Archies Footwear Australian website.

Non-transferable
Gift Cards are non-transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash except where required by Australian law.

2. Validity Period

Gift Card Expiry
Gift Cards are valid for three (3) years from the date of purchase, in accordance with mandatory Australian gift card legislation.

After this period, any remaining balance will be forfeited.

3. Fees

No Fees

Archies Footwear does not charge activation, maintenance, or inactivity fees, as prohibited under Australian Consumer Law gift card regulations.

4. Redemption

Online Use
Gift Cards can only be redeemed on the Archies Footwear Australian website by entering the 14-digit code at checkout.

Multiple Transactions
Gift Cards may be used across multiple purchases until the available balance is exhausted.

Purchases Exceeding Balance
If your purchase total exceeds the available balance on the Gift Card, the remaining amount must be paid using another accepted payment method.

Restrictions on Purchase

  • Gift Cards cannot be used to purchase other gift cards.

  • Archies Footwear may refuse, cancel, or hold a Gift Card transaction where we reasonably suspect fraud, unlawful activity, or a technical error.

  • We will not unreasonably restrict your right to redeem your Gift Card where you are making a valid claim under the Australian Consumer Law.

Balance Checks

To check your Gift Card balance, please visit the Archies Footwear website or contact customer service.

5. Refunds and Faulty Cards

Regardless of the manner in which you make a purchase, our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

You are entitled to:

  • a replacement or refund for a major failure, and

  • compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.

You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

Faulty Gift Cards

If your Gift Card is faulty, please contact us for a remedy. This may include issuing a replacement Gift Card or a refund where required by law.

Returns for Change of Mind

If we approve a return for change of mind under our Returns Policy, refunds will be issued back to the same Gift Card used for the purchase. The original expiry date will not change or be extended.

Gift Cards are not exchangeable for cash except where required by law.

Refunds for Major Failures or Consumer Guarantees

Where you are entitled to a refund under the Australian Consumer Law (for example, for goods with a major failure), we will provide the refund using the original payment method where possible.

If the original payment was made using a Gift Card, we may issue the refund to a new Gift Card, which will be valid for three (3) years from the date of issue.

6. Lost, Stolen or Compromised Cards & Liability

Protect Your Gift Card

Gift Cards should be treated like cash. Archies Footwear is not responsible for any loss resulting from unauthorised use of a Gift Card after it has been delivered to the email address provided at purchase.

Lost or Stolen Cards

If your Gift Card is lost, stolen, or you believe it has been compromised, please contact us immediately at:

customer.service@archiesfootwear.com.au

You will need to provide proof of purchase and Gift Card details. Upon verification of your identity and ownership, we may cancel the existing card and issue a replacement for the remaining balance.

This may be subject to:

  • verification procedures, and

  • a reasonable administrative fee where permitted by law.

We may not be able to assist where satisfactory proof of purchase cannot be provided.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Archies Footwear’s liability for any claim relating to a Gift Card is limited to the remaining balance on the Gift Card at the time of the incident.

This clause does not limit liability for:

  • death or personal injury

  • fraud

  • any statutory liability that cannot be excluded, including under the Australian Consumer Law

7. Payment Methods for Gift Cards

Excluded Payment Methods

Gift Cards cannot be purchased using Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL) services, including but not limited to:

  • Klarna

  • PayPal Pay in 4

Transactions attempted using BNPL payment methods may be cancelled.

8. Privacy and Data Security

Archies Footwear processes personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

Any information collected during Gift Card purchase or redemption will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia, and are subject to the jurisdiction of Australian courts.

Archies Footwear may update or modify these Terms where required to comply with changes in legislation. Updated Terms will be published on our website, and continued use of a Gift Card constitutes acceptance of any changes.
