Archies are designed to be a tighter fitting thong. Make sure your Archies are hitting your arch in the right place or return them for a free refund! Follow this guid to make sure your Archies fit perfectly!

Fitting in

Terms of Width

Archies Thongs are designed to be a reasonably narrow fitting thong. The outside edge of the foot hangs over the edge to some extent in most people. It is quite rare that we cannot fit Archies Thongs to someone’s feet, no matter how wide or narrow they are. The most important thing is that the thong is comfortable and the orthotic sits in the correct position on the foot.

Fitting in

Terms of Length

Archies Thongs were designed for a reasonably snug/tight fit. If you go too big in terms of length, the orthotic will not sit in the correct position. A slight overhang of the heel is acceptable, and preferable to being too large (see image of max acceptable overhang).

Again, the most important thing is that the thong is comfortable and the orthotic sits in the correct position on the foot.

Why do

Archies Have a Tighter Strap

Archies Thongs have been designed with a tighter strap than normal thongs. With a loose strap, the toes claw down in an attempt to keep the thongs on the feet - putting the feet in an unhelathy position.

The tighter strap in Archies Thongs allows you to walk more naturally.

How to

Stretch Archies' Strap

If the strap continues to feel too tight, stretch the strap and the toe pole to decrease tightness.

1.  Hold the strap between your fingers and stretch sections in small increments. You can also stretch the toe pole using this method.

2. Continue trying the thong on and off until it has reached your desired level of tightness.

3. It is important to note, once stretched, the strap will not return to its original tightness. Please be careful not to overdo the stretching!
