At our practice we also fit custom made orthotics and we were constantly telling our patients to stay away from traditional thongs as they provided no support and would only exacerbate their symptoms and that they should stick wearing their shoes and orthotics. However, in the region that we live in this wasn’t a logical solution and we had to find something that our patients could wear that allowed their feet to breath yet provide support and comfort.
